It would appear that the DWP have suddenly started to implement the Immigration Act of 2004 to question the right to reside of Commonwealth citizens, who came to the UK in the fifties and sixties, either to work, or to join their parents, who had come here to work, and who have lived here ever since. Many chose not to take British Citizenship, but there was never any question that they had the right to reside.

All agencies have seen an exponential increase in debt cases this year, to a point of saturation.  It raises many issues that need a good open and frank discussion.  What do you think of the tactics of the debt collection agencies, why not tell us of the example of really bad practice you have encountered.  Shame them on our blog if you must!

The new Employment Support Allowance is going to create a range of new problems, we envisage that a range unexpected outcomes, that  those decission makers never considered.

As they come up why not point them out or simply ask questions and see if one of us can answer them for you.

This is a growing topic for discussion.  At the recent adviceUK conference in Coventry, the Chief Executive suggested that out of the 2,500 or so indepenant agencies natioanlly there might only be a few hundred survive the next few years.  How do we consider the sustainability of the Advice Sector?
